CASE RESULTS:
Note: Past success is not a guarantee of future of results. No attorney can guarantee a particular outcome
Some of our 2019 and 2020 cases
Client was charged with Aggravated Harassment and Violation of An Order of Protection; client's prior attorney insisted client take a plea. Client hired us to fight the case. Result: dismissal of all charges prior to trial
Client, a NYC civil servant/supervisor, was charged with Rape. Client would have lost his pension and liberty had he been convicted. Other attorneys he consulted with all recommended he not testify in front of the grand jury and to tell his story at trial instead; we believed our client and worked on his testimony. Result: No indictment! The case was over, without having to wait months and months for a trial. Client saved tens of thousands of dollars in attorneys fees and he kept his job and pension
Assault case: client's prior attorney insisted client plead guilty; we were hired and were able to get all charges dismissed
Client arrested on a number of misdemeanors; District Attorney insisted client plead guilty to one of the crimes; we analyzed the discovery material turned over to us and discovered over 3 dozen police reports and forms missing. We submitted a lengthy motion requesting the missing material. Result: District Attorney dropped all charges (we speculate that they likely did not want the headache of producing all the materials we requested, so the case was dropped)
Client was arrested for numerous counts of Grand Larceny and was facing significant prison time, up to 7 years. After our investigation, we were able to negotiate a plea to a misdemeanor petit larceny (shoplifting is a petit larceny) with no jail time!
District Attorney contemplated arresting our client for Grand Larceny; after our investigation we spoke with the District Attorney's Detective Squad and lead prosecutor on the case and convinced them that our client did not commit the crime. Result: No arrest, no charges
Felony Domestic Violence case: Client was wanted by the police and we negotiated his surrender at a time and day most convenient to client. We represented client throughout the duration of his case until full dismissal
Investigations: client hired us to investigate her case and to represent client should client be subsequently arrested. We were able to mediate the situation and based on the facts we presented, the other party chose not to involve law enforcement
Expert Witness: client was a large New York City law firm (over 400 attorneys) who hired us as expert witness in regard to NYPD policy and procedure. Result: client's motion to dismiss was granted
